FAQ.


1. What types of Schmicnic are there?

There are two different types of Schmicnic to choose from. Hampers and Parties. Parties are fully catered events with a large grazing style picnic table as the centrepiece of the party. Hampers are freshly prepared, packaged and picked up from our location in Barton (delivery is also available for an additional cost).

2. Parties - How do the picnic parties work?

Parties are designed for larger groups (25+). You pick from one of our delicious menu packages and we will take care of bringing your picnic party to your chosen location and setting it up at the designated time. A few hours later we will come back to pack it away! Delivery is included for areas around the lake.

3. Parties - Where can I hold my Schmicnic?

We have put together some great locations around the lake for you to look at here. We can also deliver to your home, workplace or any other venue within the CBD area you would like!

Outside of the CBD area? We may still be able to deliver, talk to us for options.

4. Parties - What's included?

Picnic parties have your selected menu spread out over a large grazing table under an umbrella. We include napkins, disposable plates and cutlery. Parties require the hire of our picnic table and umbrella ($150).

5. Parties - Can we add service and games to our party?

Yes, we have a range of picnic equipment including rugs, tables and games that you can add onto your picnic party! If you would like a few extra hands to help we can also provide staff.

6. Parties - How does alcohol work?

You can either BYO or ask us to help cater your drinks requirements. See menus for details on drinks packages. If using our drinks packages we require waitstaff to be onsite.

7. Hampers - How do hampers work?

Hampers are prepared freshly, packaged up into disposable boxes along with plates, cutlery and napkins to be picked up from our Barton location (The Boat House) at your chosen time.

8. Hampers - Availablity

Hampers are available Monday-Sunday. Hampers require a minimum two days notice.

9. Hampers - What's included?

For all hampers we include napkins, disposable cutlery and plates.

“Picnics for two” also include a rug and mineral water. Wine glasses are also included in packages including wine.

10. What happens if it rains?

A Schmicnic is still just as fun indoors! We allow location changes in writing up to 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Cancellation of equipment hire due to weather is charged at 50% of the hire cost. Cancellation of entertainment is charged at 100% of the fee.

11. Can you accommodate for dietary requirements?

The menus in our hampers are set and we have ensured some of our hampers include options suitable for gluten free and vegetarian guests. All meats (except pork) in our menus are sourced from Halal certified suppliers. Outside of this we can aim to avoid common allergens but as we are a commercial kitchen we can’t guarantee there won’t be trace elements.

Picnic Party menus may be modifiable depending on the request. Touch base with us to discuss further.
